EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY
Strong communities create lasting traditions. We support initiatives focused on education, school activities, and access to essential learning materials.
As Zancudo grows, our ability to contribute grows with it. Investing in education is not a campaign. It is a long term commitment to the wellbeing of the community that surrounds our work.
REGENERATION OF LAND
Mezcal exists because of the earth. Protecting it is non negotiable.
In partnership with the local community, we actively participate in reforestation and regeneration efforts across Oaxaca. Last year, these efforts included planting 74,000 agaves and 23,000 trees to strengthen biodiversity and long term ecological balance.
Every harvest carries responsibility. What is taken must be restored.
RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION
Truly elevated mezcal respects its environment.
Zancudo is among the first 10 palenques in Oaxaca to implement a full biodigester system. Organic liquid byproducts from distillation are processed naturally and transformed into renewable biogas. This energy can be used for cooking and shared locally, reducing environmental impact while creating practical value for the community.
We are equally committed to minimizing waste across our production. Agave fibers are repurposed for compost, artisan materials, and local applications. Wherever possible, we reduce reliance on plastics and prioritize more responsible alternatives within our process.
