Zancudo Espadin is a premium mezcal made from Agave Angustifolia (Espadin) grown for 7-8 years in varied soils, terrain, and altitudes in San Dionisio Ocotepec – Oaxaca, Mexico. The agave hearts are cooked for 3.5 days in an earth oven with pine wood, creating a rich and smoky flavor profile. After cooking, the agave is crushed in a tahona mill and then fermented for 10-12 days in pine tubs with natural yeast. The final product is double distilled in copper stills, resulting in a smooth and complex mezcal that is perfect for sipping or mixing in cocktails.
